If I am requesting a ballot for the “November Election” which election am I applying for?
The next General Election is on November 5, 2024.
What options do I have to return my absentee ballot?
You can return your ballot in the pre-addressed return envelope, drop it off in person at the Board of Elections during office hours, or at any of our pollsites during voting hours.
Where do I mail my absentee ballot application?
Your form should be mailed to the Dutchess County Board of Elections, 112 Delafield St., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
When will I be receiving my absentee ballot I applied for?
The first mailing of absentee ballots will be mailed out the beginning of May.
Which Early Voting poll site do I vote at?
A voter can go to any of the Super Sites during Early Voting. A voter is not designated to a specific poll site during Early Voting. You do not need to make an appointment or sign up for Early Voting. We will post the current Early Voting information on our homepage when the information becomes available.
Can I Still Vote in Person if I Request an Early Mail or Absentee Ballot?
If you have been issued an absentee ballot you may no longer vote in person on a machine. This is true whether you have submitted your absentee ballot or not. Should you desire to vote in person you must use an affidavit ballot.
How do I register to vote, change my address, change my party affiliation, or update any other information pertaining to my voter record?
If you need to update any of your voter information, please complete and submit a NYS Voter Registration Form.
